The future of containers and container adoption statistics

2020 enterprise cloud container adoption statistics revealed in recent report

Cloud native software development is more essential than ever. In order to remain competitive and delight customers, organizations need to be increasingly agile, building innovative software that scales effortlessly.

To keep up, many companies are leveraging containers and container management platforms to reduce friction in the development process, speed up delivery, and improve collaboration between development and operations teams. But just how popular are containers? How many companies are actually transitioning to containerized applications? And, what are their biggest challenges when it comes to adoption?

In a commissioned report conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of Capital One, we reveal the latest research, data, and insights from 263 senior IT leaders across the U.S. who are using containers. Plus, we uncover how third-party container tools are helping enterprises implement containers at scale.

Implementing containers at enterprise scale is incredibly difficult and container management tools don’t always account for the unique needs of the enterprise.

For that reason, we set out to build a container orchestration tool that would serve the enterprise organization and developers equally. Critical Stack is the result of that—combining improved governance, application security, and easier orchestration via an intuitive UI. If you’re interested in solving many of the same challenges we faced, consider whether container orchestration with Critical Stack could be the right solution for you.
