Here are some tips to make sure to make sure you deposit a check successfully using your mobile device:

  • Deposit the check from within the U.S. and make sure you’re not using a virtual private network (VPN).
  • Confirm the amount you enter matches the amount on the check.
  • Double-check the account number.
  • If you’re depositing a check from the same payer, for the same amount as previously deposited (e.g., a payroll check), it may be flagged as a duplicate deposit. If this happens you can deposit your check at a Capital One branch, Capital One ATM or by mail.

It may take 1-3 business days for your check deposit to show in your transaction history. You’ll receive an email when you upload your check image and a confirmation email once the check has successfully been deposited into your account. Save your check until you receive a confirmation email the deposit to your account is successful.
