When you dip below $0 in your 360 Checking or Total Control Checking, the total amount of funds will be on hold in your designated savings account. The Free Savings Transfer transaction will then typically occur between midnight and 1 a.m. ET. If you make a deposit to cover the negative checking balance before the transfer occurs, the funds will no longer automatically be transferred from your savings to checking at the end of the day.
Here are a couple tips for knowing your Free Savings Transfer has kicked in as overdraft protection:
- You will receive an email alert when your 360 Checking/Total Control Checking account goes negative and funds are being held in your savings.
- You will see messaging in your Account Summary and 360 Checking/Total Control Checking transactions page notifying you that funds will be transferred at the end of the day to cover your negative checking balance.
