How does AirKey work?
AirKey uses Near Field Communications (NFC) technology for an AirKey-enabled credit or debit card to communicate with your smartphone. When you tap your AirKey-enabled card to your phone, AirKey confirms that you are in possession of your unique card - all without sharing sensitive customer or payment data. AirKey works on iOS & Android operating systems, and customers don’t need to download an additional application to use AirKey.
Does AirKey work with all smartphones?
AirKey can work with NFC-enabled mobile devices on both iOS and Android operating systems.
How do I know if my card is AirKey-enabled?
To check whether your card is AirKey-enabled, see if “Tap my card to verify” is available as a two-step verification option. You can also check to see if there is a key icon on the back of your Capital One card.
