Brandon Copeland: Be comfortable being uncomfortable

NFL player and financial educator Brandon Copeland shares what he’s learned on and off the field to help others plan financially.

Brandon explains his personal definition of financial literacy. He shares that it’s OK to acknowledge what you don’t know or haven’t been taught. Because that’s when learning can really begin.

Brandon Copeland may be best known as a professional athlete. But like so many people, he never got much financial education in the traditional schooling system. Knowing the impact this lack of knowledge can have on people both financially and mentally, he set out to make navigating financial decisions accessible to everyone. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, he created Life 101, a class he not only teaches at his former university but also made available to the public online.
