Who do we consider to be a student?
A student is anyone currently enrolled, or admitted and planning to enroll in the next 3 months, at an accredited university, community college or other higher education institution.
What happens to my Quicksilver Rewards for Students card when I graduate from school?
Although you are graduating, your Capital One Quicksilver Rewards card stays with you. You’ll still keep all the same rewards and benefits on your card.
You will earn a $100 bonus if you spend at least $300 within 3 months of account opening. Once you qualify for this bonus, we will apply it to your rewards balance within two billing cycles. Existing or previous accountholders may not be eligible for this one-time bonus.
Capital One pays compensation to CardRatings for new account referrals. While some of the winners on CardRatings's Best-Of list are partners, it never influences their decisions. Only products that meet the CardRating editorial team's strict standards make the final list.
The actual amount of cash back you earn will depend on your credit limit and purchase activity.
Statement credits lower your account balance but cannot be used to meet any minimum payment obligations.
Redemption rates for these options may vary and are subject to change.
Services such as price prediction, price watch, price drop protection, and price match guarantee are subject to terms and conditions. The availability of these services varies by account and they may not be available on all bookings. See Capital One Travel Terms and Conditions for details.
Some cardholder benefits are only available to the primary cardholder and not authorized users.
Using your card responsibly by doing things like paying at least your minimum monthly payment on time and staying below your credit limit may help you build credit.
We may use credit scores where available.
