Capital One Software deepens collaboration with Snowflake
Capital One Software is deepening its collaboration with Snowflake to help companies better protect and manage their data.
June 3, 2025, San Francisco, CA – Capital One Software, the enterprise B2B software business of Capital One, is deepening its collaboration with Snowflake to help companies better protect and manage their data within the AI Data Cloud. Announced at Snowflake Summit 2025, this enhanced collaboration is a unique integration with Capital One Databolt that enables companies to tokenize sensitive data natively within Snowflake and a new Capital One Slingshot feature that helps joint customers choose the best compute option based on their business needs.
With the data landscape growing increasingly complex, businesses are grappling with a massive volume and variety of data. This influx of data and the surge in AI technologies that require large quantities of high-quality data makes infrastructure management critical for operating an efficient data environment. There is also a heightened need for robust data protection so companies can innovate with sensitive data. Capital One Software has deepened how it partners with Snowflake to help enterprises address these challenges.
"Capital One adopted Snowflake back in 2017—one of the foundational steps in our data journey. Moving to Snowflake helped unlock the innovative power of our business teams with performance that can scale instantly and infinitely,” said Nima Vadiee, MVP, Head of Customer Engineering and Success at Capital One Software. “Our deep Snowflake expertise and strong partnership uniquely positions us to address the most complex challenges for Capital One Software customers, enabling them to manage data at scale efficiently and securely.”
Databolt: Protecting sensitive data directly within Snowflake
Databolt now integrates with Snowflake to enable tokenization directly within Snowflake, effectively securing data at its source. Built on Snowpark Container Services and the Snowflake Native App Framework, this integration offers native tokenization that enables companies to take advantage of security, scalability and speed. Databolt can achieve a throughput of up to 8 million tokens per second using Snowpark Container Services. By tokenizing data directly within Snowflake, businesses can pave the way for more streamlined AI adoption and data-driven innovation.
Slingshot: Managing Snowflake infrastructure with optimization, visibility and governance
At Snowflake Summit 2025, Snowflake announced Adaptive Compute (private preview), a new compute service that offers minimal configuration and intelligent query routing to automatically right-size resources shared optimally across an account. Snowflake will support, in private preview, warehouses created using this compute service that are called Adaptive Warehouses. Snowflake also launched its Standard Warehouse - Generation 2 (Gen2), which is an updated version of the current standard virtual warehouse in Snowflake.
Capital One Software now offers Slingshot features that complement this compute innovation, enabling Snowflake users to understand the potential value of these services based on their cost and performance needs. Slingshot customers can make informed decisions about which compute is best for their business by trialing different warehouse configurations, including Adaptive Warehouses and Gen2. These features were built in partnership with Snowflake to help customers scale confidently with the compute that will allow for optimal spend and performance.
Capital One Software also recently launched 40 optimization features in Slingshot to help Snowflake users reduce spend.
"We’re excited to see Capital One Software continue to expand its product offerings on Snowflake’s easy, connected and trusted platform," said Kieran Kennedy, VP of Data Cloud Product Partners at Snowflake. "The integration of Databolt with Snowflake provides our customers with a powerful and convenient way to secure their sensitive data. This partnership underscores our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that enable businesses to leverage the full potential of their data while maintaining the highest security standards.”
