Databolt now integrates with Databricks and Snowflake
Capital One Software announced integrations for Databolt that enable companies to tokenize data in Databricks and Snowflake.
May 20, 2025, McLean, VA – Capital One Software, the enterprise B2B software business of Capital One, today announced new integrations for Capital One Databolt that enable companies to tokenize sensitive data directly within Databricks and Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud Company. These integrations make it easier for companies to protect their sensitive data where it lives, strengthening data security without slowing down innovation.
Modern data ecosystems are big and complex, making it harder for companies to protect their data at a time when breaches and AI-related vulnerabilities are rising. Businesses require robust data security that doesn’t compromise performance. By tokenizing sensitive data directly within Databricks and Snowflake, companies are able to obtain enhanced security, scalability and efficiency.
"Businesses face unprecedented challenges in securing sensitive data. With Databolt, we’re making it easier for companies to secure their data with highly performant tokenization at scale,” said Desikan Madhvanur, SVP, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Capital One Software. “Today’s companies are managing data across a vast ecosystem. Integrating Databolt with Databricks and Snowflake is key to helping companies secure their data where it resides so they can confidently build applications and deploy AI models knowing their data is protected.”
How Databolt integrates with Databricks
Databolt leverages Unity Catalog, the industry’s only unified and open governance solution for data and AI, to offer an end-to-end tokenization solution in Databricks. With Databolt, Databricks customers can make their lakehouse a trusted environment where sensitive data is protected at the source, without sacrificing performance or analytics.
By integrating with Unity Catalog, Databolt customers can define tokenization policies, ingest Databricks user groups for role-based access control, initiate tokenization jobs and configure workflows. This helps customers securely tokenize sensitive data while leveraging Databricks compute resources for optimal performance.

How Databolt integrates with Snowflake
Databolt leverages Snowpark Container Services and the Snowflake Native App Framework to provide a truly native integration with Snowflake. A first of its kind, Databolt is the only commercially available tokenization solution where sensitive data doesn’t need to leave a customer’s Snowflake environment. Its native functionality enables exceptional speed and performance, with a throughput of up to 8 million tokens per second using Snowpark Container Services.
Snowflake customers can install Databolt as a Snowflake Native App from the Snowflake Marketplace. With Databolt, customers can deploy their tokenization engine directly in their Snowflake environment, define access for tokenization based on pre-existing Snowflake roles and access tokenization functionality through user-defined functions.
