THE SERVICE

Bank offers traditional Trade Finance services including, but not limited to: Letters of Credit (“L/Cs”) including Import, Export, and Standby, Clean and Documentary Collections, and Bankers' Acceptance Financing. Transactions are initiated online through a Trade Services interface L/C accessed via Intellix or by submitting a paper form to the Bank. These solutions are designed to help businesses reduce the risks associated with international and domestic trade as well as comply with assurance requirements from recurring suppliers or government programs.

IMPORT LETTERS of CREDIT

Import L/Cs offer assurance of payment to Seller (L/C Beneficiary) in a business transaction. Payment is made only after Beneficiary presents to Bank (acting as Issuing Bank) documents compliant with the terms of the L/C. Import L/Cs enable foreign companies to rely on the credit rating and soundness of Bank, minimizing concern about non-payment from Applicant or Buyer.

BANKERS’ ACCEPTANCE FINANCING

As part of an Import L/C, the beneficiary of the L/C will finance the associated Bankers’ Acceptance for an agreed upon rate and term.

EXPORT LETTERS of CREDIT

Bank receives and advises on Export L/Cs, which enable Seller (L/C Beneficiary) to rely on the credit rating and soundness of the issuing bank rather than the credit rating of the payor (Buyer), minimizing the risk of non-payment.

STANDBY LETTERS of CREDIT

Standby L/C issuance provides financial or performance assurance from Bank to meet trading partner or government agency requirements. Standby L/C advising is provided by Bank when L/C is issued by trading partner’s bank for assurance to Customer as beneficiary.

DOCUMENTARY COLLECTIONS (Incoming and Outgoing)

Bank facilitates Incoming or Outgoing Documentary Collections. Based on the terms of the Collection Seller retains title of goods until payment or acceptance of agreed upon shipping documents or date is reached. Buyer delays payment until receipt of agreed upon shipping documents or when date is reached.
