When Infiniti decided to rename all of its SUVs to start with QX, the EX37 became the QX50. A redesign for the 2019 model year switched the Infiniti QX50 from a rear-wheel/all-wheel-drive platform with a V6 engine to a front-wheel/all-wheel-drive platform with an innovative variable-compression turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That second-generation QX50 features distinctive Infiniti design cues and upscale interior touches, including ambient lighting and quilted leather seats. The compact crossover simultaneously seats up to five people and carries about 30 cu.-ft. of cargo. In addition, the infotainment and driving assistance systems are competitive with other compact luxury crossovers.
