Car Overview
Ford gave the Fusion a significant refresh for the 2017 model year, and the upgrades include updated styling, the latest Sync 3 infotainment system, and an improved center-console design. Also, the Platinum and V6 Sport joined the S, SE, and Titanium in the trim range. The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 175 horsepower, and optional powertrains offer up to 325 horsepower. The EPA-estimated gas mileage ranges from 20 mpg in city and highway combined driving to 27 mpg; more fuel-efficient hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are available, but we discuss them separately. The Fusion seats five people and provides 16 cubic-feet of cargo room.Â
