Car Overview
Ford redesigned the Fusion for the 2013 model year. This midsize sedan comes in S, SE, and Titanium trims, and the base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 175 horsepower. Optional turbocharged engines producing 178 and 240 horsepower are available, and buyers choose between six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions. Versions with all-wheel drive offer better traction on slick roads. Ford sells hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, but they are discussed separately. The Fusion returns between 22/31/25 mpg city/highway/combined and 25/36/29 mpg. All models seat five people and provide 16 cubic-feet of trunk space.Â
