Ford added adaptive cruise control and traffic-sign recognition to the 2021 Escape's available Co-Pilot360 Plus package. This compact SUV comes in S, SE, SEL, and Titanium trim levels. The base engine is a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine producing 181 horsepower, with a turbocharged 250-hp four-cylinder powertrain available as an option. Hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants are available but discussed separately. All-wheel drive is optional, and the EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 26 to 30 mpg in combined city and highway driving. The 2021 Ford Escape can tow up to 3,500 pounds, seat five people, and offer 65.4 cubic-feet of maximum cargo room.
