Car Overview
Volkswagen Eos
The Volkswagen Eos arrived in the U.S. in 2007. The car comes with a power-retractable hardtop that folds into the trunk. There's seating for four people, and the vehicle offers a large power sunroof for open-air driving even when the top is technically up. Engine choices consist of a turbocharged four-cylinder or a V6, with a manual or dual-clutch automatic transmission powering the car's front wheels. New styling and fresh tech arrived in 2012, though VW canceled the manual transmission that year. In 2014, the automaker's Car-Net connected services tech debuted in the Eos. Volkswagen discontinued the Eos after the 2015 model year.
