Car Overview

Toyota Land Cruiser

When Toyota began selling the Land Cruiser in the U.S. in 1958, it sold just a single example, but after 60 years the model has sold more than 10 million units globally. By 2008 when a redesigned Land Cruiser went on sale, the U.S.-market model had grown into a large, three-row SUV that sold in relatively small numbers. Toyota skipped the 2012 model year, returning the Land Cruiser to showrooms in 2013 as a fully-loaded model with few options. Substantial updates in 2016 modernized the SUV’s powertrain and technology while distinguishing the improved Land Cruiser through styling changes. In 2022, Toyota redesigned the Land Cruiser globally, but the automaker did not offer this model in America.
