Kia is no stranger to electric vehicles (EVs). Following its first forays into electrics (the Kia Soul EV and the substantially improved Kia Niro EV), the automaker is rolling out a full range of EVs based on a new platform and battery design. The first is called the Kia EV6, a five-passenger crossover that splits the difference between traditional compact and midsize SUVs. The EV6 offers up to 300 miles of estimated driving range, can add up to 210 miles of range in less than 20 minutes when using a public 800V DC fast charger, and offers between 24.4 cu.-ft. and 50.2 cu.-ft. of cargo capacity. All-wheel drive is also an option.
