The Buick Verano is a compact sedan sold between the 2012 and 2017 model years. The car had a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine making 180 horsepower. There was also an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that made 250 hp and 260 pound-feet of torque, a generous amount of power for a small car. Buick even offered a manual transmission. Citing a growing demand for SUVs, in 2016 Buick announced that model year 2017 would be the last for the Verano and that the car would be discontinued in the U.S. market.
