Car Overview
Lincoln MKZ
In 2006, Lincoln introduced a new midsize luxury car. Resurrecting a nameplate last used in the 1930s, Lincoln called it the Zephyr, but the revival didn't last long. The following year, the Zephyr became the MKZ as part of a Lincoln branding overhaul. In 2013, a redesigned second-generation MKZ arrived. It came with a hybrid powertrain for the first time, and Lincoln notably didn't charge buyers extra for it. In addition, the available power-retractable glass roof was a showstopper unlike anything the competition offered. Substantial changes arrived for the 2017 model year when the MKZ received new front styling, improved technology, and an available 400-hp engine. The updates allowed Lincoln to keep the MKZ going until dropping it from the lineup after the 2020 model year.
