The Patriot is a compact crossover SUV that Jeep sold from 2007 to 2017. It features a rugged, boxy design paired with round headlights. Over the course of its production years, the Patriot offered a 2.0-liter or a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a manual, a continuously variable, or an automatic transmission (although not always in the same model years). Front-wheel drive was standard and all-wheel drive was an option. In addition, some versions of the Patriot offered "Trail Rated" off-roading capability. Jeep kept the Patriot's price low, which may have been attractive to people who wanted a Jeep but were unable to afford the company's higher-end models.
