Based on Volvo’s S60 sedan, the V60 station wagon has offered an alternative to small luxury SUVs since its introduction in 2010. The appealing second-generation version went on sale for the 2019 model year, adding the Polestar-engineered V60 T8 plug-in hybrid model and the off-road capable Cross Country version to flesh out the traditional model lineup. By 2021, those were the only two configurations still available in the U.S. market. The V60 Cross Country sports SUV styling cues, a raised suspension for added ground clearance, and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine making 250 hp. The V60 Recharge T8 boasts a 415 hp plug-in hybrid drivetrain, performance-tuned driving dynamics, and an electric-only driving range of up to 41 miles.
