Car Overview
Subaru redesigned the 2015 Outback wagon, giving it a roomier interior than its predecessor and adding a continuously variable transmission as standard equipment on all models. The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 175 horsepower, and a six-cylinder engine with 256 horsepower is optional. All Outbacks have all-wheel drive, and the EPA-estimated gas mileage is 28 mpg in combined city and highway driving with the base engine and 22 mpg with the optional turbo six. The 2015 Subaru Outback seats five people and provides 73.3 cubic-feet of maximum cargo room; safety features such as blind-spot monitoring are available. When properly equipped, the Outback can tow up to 3,000 pounds.
