Review QuickTakes:

A midsize crossover SUV, the Lexus RX is one of the most popular luxury vehicles in America. It comes with two or three rows of seats and can carry up to seven passengers. The RX 350 has a V6 engine with front-wheel or all-wheel drive, while the RX 450h provides a gas-electric V6 hybrid powertrain with standard AWD. The F Sport version is, as you might guess, the sporty one.

What’s New for the 2022 Lexus RX?

Feeling no need to mess with success, Lexus leaves well enough alone with the 2022 RX. New paint colors, including Cloudburst, Iridium, and Grecian Water are available, along with a new Glazed Caramel interior color.

Lexus RX Competitors for 2022

Lexus arguably invented the luxury crossover SUV segment when it debuted the first RX for the 1999 model year. More than 20 years later, it dominates its segment but is no longer flying solo. Competitors range from the Acura MDX to the Volvo XC90, with numerous others in between.

My first word was “car.” That’s what I’m told, anyway. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with them. The design. The engineering. The performance. And the purpose. I’m a car enthusiast who loves to drive, but I’m also most interested in the cars, trucks, and SUVs that people actually buy. Anybody can tell you that a sports car is fast. What you need to know is whether or not you should buy that new SUV, and why. My life purpose is to help you make that decision.
