Surprisingly, it's not always the long-bed trucks that end up being the lengthiest models.

There are some truly massive trucks on the road these days — pickups that are far longer than their predecessors. In fact, some models have grown by almost a foot in the past 25 years.

Whether you're looking to own the road with a giant truck or you merely want to see if the largest variant will fit in your garage, take a look at this roundup of the longest full-size trucks for the 2023 model year.

Even in its longest configuration — a crew-cab model with the 5-foot-7 bed — the Nissan Titan is a bit short in comparison to its peers. Most versions stretch 228.2 inches long, though the Pro-4X trim level includes an additional skid plate up front that nudges the Titan to 229.5 inches.

The longest Silverado 1500 you can get is a crew cab with the standard 6-foot, 7-inch box, which boasts a turbo 2.7-liter four-cylinder making 310 horsepower with rear-wheel drive. (Chevrolet offers a longer bed on its full-sizer but only with a regular cab.) Shoppers may upgrade to a 355-hp V8, a 420-hp V8, or a 305-hp turbo-diesel as well as four-wheel drive for more money.

The Sierra 1500 largely shares its dimensions and mechanicals with the Silverado but has its own look. As with the Chevy, those seeking the longest variant may narrow their search to the crew-cab model with the 6-foot 7-inch standard box. You'll find the same engine options as you would for the comparable Silverado but not that truck's single-axle driveline, as this particular Sierra 1500 comes exclusively with four-wheel drive.

If Ram is your brand, the longest 1500 you can get is the crew-cab truck with the 6-foot, 4-inch bed. Across the lineup the combination results in a pretty long truck, but the off-road oriented Rebel and TRX models are only available with the 5-foot-7 bed. Otherwise, whether its a well-equipped Limited or a bare bones Tradesman, the Ram could easily reach the end of many garages and parking spots.

Every example of this heavy-duty-ish truck has a four-door cab, a 6-foot-6 bed, four-wheel drive, and a 400-hp V8. That said, due to a front skid plate, the off-road-oriented Pro-4X trim level stretches about an inch longer than the base truck. The cheapest way to get a 244.4-inch Titan XD, then, is to select the Pro-4X. While this truck doesn't have a dual-rear-wheel option found on other HD models on this list, it does offer an integrated gooseneck hitch for towing as much as 11,000 pounds.

The F-150 has a few things that set it apart from rivals, including optional onboard scales that weigh what you have in the bed and a smart hitch that measures a trailer's tongue weight. Another selling point: You can get this pickup with an 8-foot bed and a SuperCab with two full-size front doors and two rear-hinged half-doors. That configuration boasts rear-wheel drive and a 325-hp turbocharged four-cylinder, though four-wheel drive and other powertrains (including a 400-hp V8 and a 400-hp turbo V6) are available.

The Toyota Tundra offers short, standard, and long boxes measuring 5.5, 6.5, and 8.1 feet. The longest cabin-box combo is the Double cab with two full-size front doors and two half-doors and the long bed — a spec available only on the bottom two trims. Both have a 389-hp turbo V6 under the hood. You won't find many amenities on the base model. Even the Class IV hitch receiver costs extra.

Though the heavy-duty Rams come in some 6 inches shorter than their primary competition, the 3500 has a best-in-class tow rating exceeding 37,000 pounds. The longest variant can tug up to 34,000 pounds. A 410-hp gas V8 or an optional 370-hp diesel inline-six are on the menu for the crew-cab model with the 8-foot bed. You'll also find a high-output 400-hp version of the turbo-diesel and rear double wheels on the 3500's options list, both of which you'll need if you want to be able to reach that impressive towing figure.

Unlike the regular-duty Silverado, the HD models can be had in long-bed, crew-cab form. The 2500 and 3500 come standard with a 401-hp V8 and rear-wheel drive, unless four-wheel drive and/or the 445-hp turbo-diesel are selected. Buyers can also get a dual set of rear wheels on the 3500.
