“Do not get tricked into Financing your vehicle through Carmax and better yet, do NOT buy from them! I moved states and have been dealing with their nightmare of a Title team for over THREE months and I still do not have it solved- Im not able to register without that title form in another state. I have been paying religiously for over a year with auto payments and I have not even been able to drive my car for months! Horrible customer service and care. I will never recommend this company to anyone.”

“I spent a lot of time here doing paperwork and gathering 50 documents to purchase my vehicle, but overall it was an experience nobody really wants to do, but has to. The first saleslady was a bit off putting, but the second one who worked with me was amazing. 👏 She was very professional and I'd recommend talking to her; Miss Trybe. Thank you 😊”

“Car shopping through Carmax has been a great experience so far! It was time for a new vehicle and I didn't want to deal with any haggling or super pushy sales associates at other dealers, so I went with Carmax. Searching cars on their website was super simple, with so much info readily available. I was sure I wanted a Subaru, either Impreza or Crosstrek. I found an Impreza that matched all my wants and requested it to be shipped to Winchester. I was able to test drive it on New Year's Day, with Nathan helping us out. I ended up not buying the Impreza because the day before a Crosstrek I REALLY liked popped up as available. Nathan helped get that one shipped and we left to await its arrival. Crosstrek was shipped a few days later and the communication from them was great, I wasn't able to come in any earlier than this past Saturday morning so they were willing to hold the car for me to test drive. Fast forward to Saturday, we met with Kaylee, who got us set up for the test drive. We went forward with the purchase of the Crosstrek, we used outside financing, which was a breeze to navigate. We got there at 9 a.m. Saturday and drove away by 11:15 with a new-to-us vehicle. Kaylee and Nathan were both rockstars throughout both days. When it's time for my wife's car to be upgraded we will definitely come back to Carmax!”

“We recently sold our car to CarMax, and it was one of the least painful car experiences we've ever had (which is saying a lot). We were given a quote online that was matched at the dealership, and our salesman & entire staff were very kind and patient - especially with our toddler (who really added to the fun of being in a dealership). They were so accommodating and professional, from the moment we walked in until the time we left. Definitely recommend for selling a vehicle!”

“Not a great experience. Ordered a 2023 (two years old) vehicle from another location to test drive and found many more cosmetic issues like scrapes and paint chips than were disclosed. I also had an appointment set several days in advance and the car was filthy with such bad water spots that I couldn't tell if it was a paint/clear coat issue.
The salesperson didn't seem too enthusiastic about helping me solve the issues but finally offered to have it washed after I pointed out they knew I was coming and should have had the car presentable in the first place. He also said he would talk to his manager about solutions.
Came back an hour later to still find water spots. After waiting for the salesperson to show back up they asked if I wanted to move forward. I responded that they were supposed to talk to the manager and asked the results. They then proceed to talk to a manager and they both leave to look at the car without speaking to me.
I followed them and pointed out the numerous touched up paint chip locations and many that weren't. The color matching was also poor. Pointed out a missing interior panel piece. After a lot of hemming and hawing and blaming transport issues I finally straight up asked if they could do anything. The answer was no and that the GM that was knowledgeable and experienced wasn't there.
The manager said they could talk to the GM and I indicated that I would be cancelling my prequalify loans and wouldn't be able to move quickly if they did offer solutions later.
The final icing on the cake is the vehicle is now listed for $2k more than before, AFTER I pointed out all of the cosmetic issues that are STILL not disclosed. This was at least the third transfer between locations so I'm at least the third person to pass on purchasing this vehicle in close to 6 months. Mechanically it seemed sound but it's in poor shape cosmetically for the amount for sale and for a two year old car, even before they raised the price.
My advice is to stay far away from this location. We've previously purchased from a MD CarMax and had a great experience.”
