The CarMax team here including Sean, Justin, and Jonathan got all my concerns resolved. They also reimbursed my expenses on auto parts. I don’t regret buying from them and will recommend people buying from them in the future.

In general, it's a good buying experience.
However, when I finished my test drive, I told my sales associate Cody that I found a plastic cover and two molding trim holders in the trunk, and he told me that he will take care of that.
Unfortunately, when I was upgrading my trunk lamp light bulb, I found out that the plastic cover was sticked between the molding and the body, and that there were molding trim holders missing in the trunk.
Eventually, I used the part number and found out where the plastic cover belongs to, and I went to an auto part store and spent $5 and an hour to fix this issue.
I don't know who did this to my vehicle but this is not very positive and professional.”

“I love their stance, the price is the price. No bs haggling. Our rep, Chris Andrews at the Westborough, MA store was fantastic and a 5* rep. I would recommend him highly. The loss of the 5th star is due to the time it took to complete the sale. We did everything up front so we could have the 45 minute express checkout they promised, including approved financing through CarMax 2 weeks before. Took 2.5 hours. Nothing to do with Chris. Some kind of plate issue, which could have been avoided had they told us about the issue beforehand, which forced us to come back the next day to pick up my new plate. The kicker was my wife had to come back too, as we bought the car together. She's a hair stylist and had to cut out on her clients early. Stuff happens. Not ideal, but I would gladly buy another car from Chris and CarMax.”

“James is friggin amazing I walked in he immediately helped me with everything I needed quick and easy helped me threw the whole process I would have walked out with the car yesterday if insurance didn’t take for ever not his fault at all he kept in touch with me threw out the next day so next day today everything was all set got my car and i am so grateful and so happy James is the best!! Thank you again !!”

“I paid $150 to have a very pretty blue SUV moved from CarMax Long Island to CarMax Westborough. I didn’t know what to expect from CarMax. I’m 65 years old and have bought from dealers and private sellers over the years, but never a place like CarMax. I guess I thought it would be pushy sales people and lots of hidden fees - but spoiler alert - I was wrong.
Online, the SUV was exactly what I wanted and spending 150 bucks to bring it close to me was cheap enough, so I took a chance and had it shipped. That process took about a week and then I got a text and call about making an appointment for a test drive.
The onsite experience could not have been better. Ok, maybe stronger coffee, but that is just my coffee addiction talking. The sales person was thorough and knowledgeable about the vehicle. The test drive went really well. The vehicle was exactly as advertised online. Actually, better than advertised, because I still haven’t found the second paint chip they showed online.
Maybe I am showing my age here, but the lack of sales pressure still seems weird. There was no sales pressure, the price was set, and there were no hidden fees. I mean, they did want to sell me a service plan, but it wasn’t a hard sell and the plan actually seemed pretty good. I passed on it because they are a bit far from me.
Anyway, In conclusion, I bought the car and drove it off the lot a few hours later. The whole process happened in one visit. The price was a bit higher than I wanted to spend, but the mileage was lower and it was a newer model, so I went for it. Plus, it was impossible to walk away from such a “pretty" vehicle.
I give CarMax five stars. It was an excellent shopping experience. Big smile when they put the ribbon on it, which makes no sense, but it was pretty fun.”

“I got a really good deal, so far. I have had the vehicle for 2 weeks now, and no complaints for a 2015 car with 44,300 miles. From selection to financing to registering the vehicle was a quick and hassle-free experience. I would encourage you to make CARMAX your first stop in getting a new car or replacing an old one.”
