“I unfortunately had a poor experience while test driving / discussing buying a used vehicle at this location recently. First and foremost, the condition of the car - multiple scratches on the body paint and headlights, rims were very scuffed up. Now, it was a 2016 car, so some cosmetic imperfections are to be expected but I feel some of the issues would've been easily addressed and would have made me feel more confident in the overall quality of the vehicle. Most importantly, Paul Miller Chevrolet added THOUSANDS of dollars to the out the door price that I felt were exorbitant. For example, the doc fee of $750-- many dealerships have doc fees much lower than this. Vehicle theft protection $600 -- when I asked my sales associate Steve what the theft protection was, he was unable to fully explain what the actual mechanism was. The one I have most issue with-- "CPO" fee of $2000 -- yes, certified pre-owned fee... okay.. but this particular vehicle was NOT a certified pre owned vehicle. So what is the fee for? Allegedly for inspection of the vehicle... okay, sure, but also for "interior and exterior protection", key fob replacement, 6 month warranty-- things that are usually otherwise optional but not here. There is of course another $400 dmv/motor vehicle fee. And this is all before tax I asked more about the warranty and was told certain things would be "honored" at Paul Miller Chevrolet or "any service center participating in Axiom." This was important to me because I do not live local to West Caldwell primarily, so had to make sure there would be locations near me that would repair things covered under warranty. I was unable to find any information about axiom locations near me via google search. Steve was unable to provide specific examples of places that would honor the warranty near me as well and told me to "call the number at the bottom" of the page for more information. If it's that difficult to just find a place that participates in axiom, I do not have high confidence that any issue I have would actually be covered under this warranty that I do not have an option to opt out of. After we vocalized dissatisfaction with this pricing, Steve continued to push different options and even suggested we pay MORE money for a different/?more comprehensive warranty. Just completely unable to read the room/situation. Overall, the car listed as ”
