“I usually dont write reviews but I definitely needed to do this. We had been looking for a vehicle specifically a civic type R as my son loves that car, we ran across 1 at DCH Monclair Acura which looked great and price well, thats questionable. we decided to go look at vehicle & take for test drive. All in all car seemed good, my son asked sales guy alot questions about this civic type R including if there were any issue with it, right away the sales guy said oh this is great car very reliable no issues you will be in this car for a very long time to come with no major problems or issues. Well low and behold 7 1/2 months later transmission failed. I called DCH Monclair Acura advised them of the issue that the car transmission failed and what can be done regarding this issue, the rep I spoke with ask for VIN of car then said that's wrong cant find that VIN, I hung up checked VIN called back got someone else advised them VIN # was correct and this rep checked couldn't find it either, she then asked for the phone # associated with account gave that and she found the account, she them put me on hold for a few minutes came back to the line and said I just spoke with sales manager there is no warranty on this car there is nothing we can do, I said are you seriously telling me after 7 1/2 months of driving this car and paying ALOT OF MONEY there is nothing your dealership will help us with on this car problem. We are just out of a vehicle and the money we spent on it. This isn't a toy that cost $5, it breaks and now we go get another one. The rep said well I can speak with a general manager and get back to you, well needless to say nope!! never heard back from anyone, no manager, no receptionist, no service person, nothing or no one ever got back to me. Now we are left with a useless car and out of thousands of dollars, my son saved up for years to get this kind of car and now he is left with a hunk of metal that doesnt run and if he choose to fix it, he will spend just as must as the cars worth to repair it, and thats like buying a brand new car. Thanks for nothing DCH Montclair Acura. **BUYERS BEWARE!!**
Update: Reached out 2 more times today 2/10/26 and still no response back.
Follow up: Still never received any communication back from Jay Jaber after sending 2 emails and leaving 2 messages for his return call.”

“I went to this dealer knowing exactly what I wanted not just out of my vehicle but out of the deal and rates I needed. I did my research prior to arriving. Prior experiences with other dealers have left a bad taste in my mouth. This dealer was the first dealership I have walked into and told my sales rep what I wanted and needed to make a deal. My sales rep Erinda understood I meant business and didn’t give me a run around or a hassle. Nothing worse then going to a dealer and sales reps thinking they can swindle customers. Erinda knew I meant what I said and did the upmost to get me out of the dealership not only with the vehicle I wanted but in an effortlessly and quickly. I was even able to trade my car and get the same rate CarMax offered. Tbh best experience at a dealership. anyone going to this dealer ask for her. Also the business manager Bryan was amazing as well. There was another guy there I believe he was the manager that assisted all great people. Would recommend a million times.”

“This was probably the greatest experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership ever since I’ve purchased my first car. Jessica was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure i got into the car i actually wanted. The manager and finance associate were also very nice and helpful as well. Everyone i came across during my time there was extremely nice and always willing to help. I never felt pressured or felt like anyone was being too pushy. Thank you so much for all your guys help!”

“I purchased a used vehicle on Saturday while driving home the transmission shook violently, we brought the car back Monday morning. They refused to repair the vehicle that was under their own 30 day warranty and give us a loaner. We then tried to swap out for a similar priced vehicle . . That attempt failed. My family was then left with no vehicle for 4 days while waiting for a refund All in all , public trust should be more important than a profit, what happened to good customers service?”

“My sales woman was amazing! I went in know with my trade in I was going to be in the negative and would end up with a very high note. She worked at getting me into the note payment I wanted. She wouldn’t give up!! I highly recommend anyone looking buying an Acura to go to DCH Montclair Acura and ask for Ms. Cili!”
