Absolutely the easiest purchase of a vehicle I have ever had (and i'm 63 and have owed, bought/sold over a dozen cars)... this is how cars should be bought and sold, fair prices no hidden add-ons after the sale commences, (like at dealerships, where you sit for an hour and then have to talk to the financial Mgr who informs you of interest payments & added taxes or settlement fees or whatever they call the add-ons to pad their profit). Carmax bought our trade-in, at full value, and applied that directly to our purchase of a newer car. Seriously, simple!!! No haggling, no BS sales maneuvers, and we also got a superb warranty deal (that was an add-on however it was all disclosed before we agreed to take their offer for our car, & purchase the new one. We were there maybe 2.5-3 hrs total and we drove away, with temp plates, registration, the whole package, we ended paying about $3800 (after they bought our older model) for a car only 2 yrs old with less than 25k miles and the warranty plus a return option (full refund & our old car back in 7 days), full inspection (like DOT level safety & equipment), and a bonus 4000 miles "fix anything" safety warranty based upon their inspection of the car! You cant get this at any dealership, not even a manufacturer dealer! Totally awesome!

Great place, awesome employees! It took me 3 hours to look at, test drive, sign, and drive away with my car. That is compared to 6 hours anywhere else! It took me longer to drive to Douglas than buying the car! Thank you for the great service.

This is not the place I would recommend. Rude staff made me wait. Asked why the place looked so bad, they are remodeling. Understaffed and dingy. Makes me regret paying for Max-care. Service is not open on the weekends and they charge a 100$ diage fee right off the bat. Max care doesn't cover whare and tare. So I payed my own mechanic to replace the brakes and router on a vehicle I just bought 4 months ago.

My journey began in early March when Cheri helped me test drive the vehicle - her patience and zero-pressure approach were perfect while I was still researching options. When I returned last weekend, I was pleasantly surprised to find the same car still available at a reduced price of $1,000 less! Brayan assisted me this time and provided excellent service. During our transaction, we discovered my oversight - I hadn't realized CarMax doesn't accept credit cards for down payments. Brayan handled this situation with complete professionalism and understanding. When I returned a few days later with my bank transfer ready, Vicki made the final paperwork and payment process remarkably quick and efficient. For added peace of mind, I had the vehicle inspected at Subaru, where it passed with perfect marks - a testament to CarMax's quality standards. What could have been a stressful car buying experience turned out to be exceptionally smooth thanks to Cheri's initial assistance, Brayan's knowledgeable guidance through the purchase process, and Vicki's expertise in finalizing everything. Their combined efforts and CarMax's transparent pricing made me feel completely confident in my purchase. I wholeheartedly recommend CarMax to anyone seeking a straightforward, no-pressure car buying experience.
