“I had a great experience at this CarMax location! The entire process—from check-in, inspection, ownership transfer, to writing the check—was impressively smooth and took under 30 minutes. It was faster than I expected. Plus, they offered me $300–$500 more than places like Carvana or typical dealership trade-ins. Highly recommend!”

“Updating my review! I was really frustrated at first, but everything worked out and I got the car. Chris explained clearly what went wrong and they went above and beyond to fix everything. I really appreciate the honesty and the extra effort to make sure I left happy. Thank you! This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to choose a completely different location. I had a vehicle shipped to this location and completed every single step required. My application was run and verified multiple times. All that was left was signing my documents and paying my down payment. I scheduled a pickup appointment, then switched it to delivery. A transactions associate confirmed the delivery — and less than 10 minutes later, I was contacted and told that an employee named Danny had instructed her to cancel my appointment. When I called to ask why, Danny stated he needed to rerun my application to verify income that had already been verified multiple times. There was no valid explanation — just unnecessary delays and repeated requests for the same information. After reading other reviews, it appears this is not an isolated situation and that Danny has done similar things to multiple customers. This pattern of behavior is extremely concerning and unprofessional. I will be contacting corporate first thing in the morning to escalate this issue. No customer should be treated this way after completing all required steps.”

“I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I have received regarding my vehicle, which I have owned for nearly two years. During this time, the service department has repaired several issues, including replacing the shocks, addressing the AC system, and fixing a malfunction with the driver’s power seat. Unfortunately, these repairs have not resolved the problems. The shocks failed again within a few months, the AC continues to take an excessive amount of time to cool, and the driver’s seat malfunctioned again after only one month — this is now the third time the seat has required repair. I am now approaching the end of my two-year warranty, and I am being told that I will be responsible for the cost of repairs. While I understand warranty limitations, I am extremely concerned that the same issue with the driver’s seat continues to reoccur despite multiple repair attempts. Additionally, I was very disappointed by a comment made by a service representative, ( Fernando) who stated that the seat issue was caused by me “sitting too hard” on it. I found this comment inappropriate and unprofessional. I do not believe it is reasonable to attribute a repeated mechanical failure to how someone sits in their vehicle. I requested to speak with a manager ( Andrew- Operation Manager and was told they were in a meeting. I asked that the manager return my call; however, it has now been three days without any follow-up. Given the repeated nature of this issue and the manner in which I was treated, I am requesting that the driver’s seat be repaired for the fourth time at no cost to me. I believe this is a fair resolution considering the circumstances. I look forward to a prompt response and to resolving this matter professionally.”

“Very smooth and easy, In appreciated that they honored the previously quoted price.Before them, I went to Carvana (subcontracted by Driveo), and they gave me $3000 less quote than the amount that was quoted previously online even though I reported all issues honestly in the process of getting a quote. They seemed shady, and Carmax was totally different from them in their professionalism and attitude. I will definitely go back again!”
