“UPDATE: Their General Manager must also be a liar because he responded that I would be contacted by a Joann to handle things and I most certainly was not. They don’t care about treating people right, just their image.
Original post: Truly horrible experience at Gem Mazda today, which is unfortunate because I thought I had finally found an honest dealership. After purchasing a car from them, I was told by the salesperson that a free checkup would be included. After setting an appointment with someone over the phone I came in & dropped off my car. After I left, they called to say it may not be included after all. Then they jerked me around for an hour making me wait while they figured out “if it would be covered or not” only to tell me it would not be — after wasting over an hour of my time. I called to let the sales department know that my salesperson lied to me (assuming they would care about that) and the staff told me there was nothing to be done to rectify the situation because that salesperson was no longer with them. That I should have had it written in a contract. So apparently for Gem Mazda, it’s totally okay to lie to customers and take advantage of young women that are first time car buyers as long as the salesperson who can be blamed is gone now. Then the sales rep at Gem Mazda literally hung up the phone on me while I was speaking. No accountability was taken on behalf of the Gem Mazda team. Safe to say I will never be purchasing a car from Gem Mazda again.”

“Service and Sales are terrific. I’ve been a happy customer for a few years in the service department with my 2023 MX-5.
Ask for Thomas Johnson in Sales if you’re buying. He’s outstanding. He was super patient with me and not pushy at all over a recent couple of days and indulged my questions and inquiries about a couple SUV models I was interested in. Their sales manager, Trey was also a pleasure to talk with.”

“I have been looking to get into a Cypress Green 2026 Mazda CX-50 and when one popped up at Gem Mazda, I contacted the dealership. I conducted most of the back and forth over email. Michael, the salesman and Robin, the sales manager, were great to work with and down to earth. David in Finance was great as well. This is the second time I have dealt with Gem Mazda and both times have been a good experience.”

“After having a horrible experience with Capital City Mitsubishi we came to Mazda and of course asked for JOSH ! We were in and out in 2 hours with a new car ! They listened to my concerns, answered all my questions, showed compassion to my situation and much more ! Richard was awesome and very transparent through the whole process and Robin was also amazing to work with ! I don’t think I have ever had a better experience in a dealership. Oh and Sean was great ! And also very transparent. I say that to say this is a winning team and to have a deal funded and paperwork done, car washed and gassed up and I’m out the door in 2 hours is what was even more amazing ! Thank you guys so so so much !”
