Patrick (sales professional) was pleasant, knowledgeable, funny AND helpful! Aida (finance manager) had all the paperwork completed and walked me through signing everything! “I had my Audi A4 towed here a few weeks ago after breaking down on the hwy and was charged over $500 to have it looked at and was told that charge “would be taken off the repairs” which I thought was fair.
2 days later I received a call from service letting me know I need an engine and would cost over $37,000 (not $3700). I thought they were joking being that my car is worth only about $20k and only has 62k miles on it - so inquired about a plan B and was told this was plan B because this was a used engine not even a new engine. I immediately got my car towed out of there and brought to a reputable repair shop near my home and was told all I needed was a small part for a few hundred dollars and had it repaired with a full tune up for under $1000 including labor. I can not believe this Audi service would not be able to fix the same broken part for a fraction of the cost of a replacement engine.
I feel they would have “broke even” if they made the correct repair because of the $500 I already paid and figured if I just took my car somewhere else they would profit. This is just my theory but makes sense. How can a professional Audi mechanic not find the correct problem but a local expert can? Very very disappointed in this service department and will never be back again and if anyone wants to know the local mechanic I now use please reach out to me.”
