“Buying process went good and we were excited about our new truck. However, there was a code and they said they would get it fixed for us. My husband drove to Standish from shiawassee county (approx. 2hrs) to drop the truck off and give them the extra set of keys from the trade in. They did not schedule us like they were supposed to so my husband had to come back home. The following week they were supposed to have someone drive down with a loaner to pick up our truck.
(Side note my husband was driving up that way to hunt for the weekend between this debacle. His Chevy started having some issues so he took it to Richardsons Chevy dealer. It was supposed to be done the following week.)
My husband took the day off to be there to sign paperwork for the loaner. They never showed up to pick up/drop off loaner. When my husband called they told him they would get us right in and have the loaner ready as soon if he drove it there. My husband drove the truck back up and when he got there they told him the appointment was at 8:30a and we missed our slot. Which seems weird bc they were supposed to pick up between 8 and noon. To say the least my husband was very annoyed. He lost time at work and lost PTO that could have been used to spend time with the kids. Then to top it off the loaner was not ready and was on E.
While he waited he went to check on his Chevy. When he asked about it they told him that it wasn’t done and it wasn’t on their books anywhere. The keys and paperwork were sitting in the same spot the man sat them down the week before. Now my husband is fuming and rightly so.
When my husband returns to the ford dealership they still do not have the loaner gassed up and ready.
What did they do to try and make it right? They apologized a handful of times but it felt like they were just saying sorry to smooth things over and bc they were obligated to do so.
Long story short, buying process was fine, but if you need your vehicle fixed when it’s supposed to be then good luck.”
