ââââââ for Lourdes (Sales), but 1 star for the dealershipâs finance department and management.
Lourdes was the only reason my family and I returned to this dealership. She was kind, honest, and professional throughout the entire process. If this review were for her alone, it would be 5 stars.
Unfortunately, my experience with the finance department and management was extremely stressful. I came in three separate times to finalize the purchase, and each time the paperwork was changed, fees were added, or numbers did not match what Lourdes and I had agreed on.

Visit #1 â Inflated cost, unwanted warranty, no paperwork
Finance manager José removed the agreed discount, added a warranty I had declined, charged for floor mats that were supposed to be included, and increased the total by over $5,000. When I requested a copy of the paperwork in the office, he brushed it off. He finally emailed it two days later, right before closing, and the discrepancies were alarming.

Visit #2 â $1,100 unexplained charge, refusal to print paperwork
Finance manager Eder restored the discount but left out the $500 rebate and added $1,100 GAP insurance without my consent. When I questioned it, he first said the bank required it for the lower rate, then changed the explanation to a âbank fee,â and then moved the same $1,100 into âaccessories.â He could not provide any proof of a bank requirement. The shifting explanations made it impossible to sign confidently.

Visit #3 â Same tactic, new numbers
When I returned ready to finalize the deal, the interest rate and bank had changed again, and the paperwork still didnât match. Even with the general manager involved, I no longer felt I could trust the process and left.

Lourdes was the bright spot in all of this. She reached out again and made sure we received all paperwork in writing with the terms we agreed on before returning. Only then did we feel comfortable going back to pick up the car. After we picked up the vehicle, she continued to help us with the Subaru app and has answered every question weâve had about the vehicle.
I hope Subaru Stamford takes a serious look at the practices in their finance office. Customers deserve transparency and consistency.â

âThe personnel at the site were pleasant and professional. I already had in mind the model and colour of the car I wanted . Matt was helpful with making the process swift and efficient . The process of applying for a loan, getting approved and registering for a car took less than 2 hrs. The whole experience was very well handled considering I did not have a lot of time on my hands. Thank you Matt and Subaru of Stamford.â

I bought the car I wanted, negotiated a fare price got a fare price for ny old car. I highly recommend this dealership.â
