âWhile this dealership does have a few good gemsâsuch as one of the managers(I believe Ryan) who was genuinely well-spoken, respectful, and humaneâthe overall quality of customer service and business practices is more than just questionable, as many other reviews have already stated. Transparency seems to be a major issue here.
They are not clear about the actual cars they have available and disguise their lack of openness as âVIP service,â claiming that this is why they wonât discuss details or take sales calls over the phone. I even read a review where someone came in to look at a white Tesla Model 3 and was told the battery was missing. I came in for that same exact car, only to be told I couldnât finance it because it had a salvage title. The inconsistency in what customers are told is alarming.
I ended up being shown a different Tesla âone with nearly double the mileage I expected and priced over $7,000 more. That was ultimately the car I went with, not because it was ideal, but because my sales rep cared far less about the situation I was dealing with and more about closing a sale. If I had more financial flexibility, I would have walked out and gone to another dealership, even after driving all the way from Connecticut. But at that point, I didnât feel like arguing or fighting.
To make matters worse, I still havenât received my license plates, and the fees they supposedly âwaivedâ for me were not actually waived when I reviewed the contract.
Bottom line: If youâre financially comfortable enough to risk losing a few thousand dollars, the selection of cars might appeal to you. But if you value transparency, honesty, and genuine customer service, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
Update (11/05/2025)
From 2 stars to 1.
I drove three hours from CT to this dealership, only to find out in person that the car I wanted had a salvage title, something they never disclosed ahead of time. That was the first red flag. But like they said in response to my review, you will only know IMPORTANT information like a SALVAGE TITLE that doesnât appear on the CARFAX,once you come in person for the sales process to officially start.
After buying a different vehicle, they said I need new tires. The dealership told me they would either replace them if I drove back three hours, or send me a $300 reimbursement check. They did neither. Nor did their technicians informed me that the tires were so bald that I would incur a $349+ bill after the tire sprung a leak while I was driving on the highway at night, due to the tires being so bald.
It gets worse: my temporary plates expire 11/05/25, and the CT DMV confirmed the dealership never submitted any registration or title paperwork. The VIN doesnât show up in the system at all, meaning no paperwork was ever filed. I now cannot legally drive the car I purchased. Which means I canât work.
After multiple times being put on hold , after a sales representative HUNG UP on me (I believe Jose), I had to contact Freedom Chevrolet (which is the listed seller on my purchase agreement) just to be transferred to a manager at 21st Century Auto Group.
Because of all this, I filed an official complaint with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission for failure to deliver title and I am pursuing legal action for both the tire issue and the registration failure.
This dealershipâs public response claiming transparency does not match my experience at all. This is a PSA for all new and future buyers, your dream car does not have to be at this establishment, whatever the advertised price is, is not worth the headache that you may or may not incur.
Let me reword my first bottom line statement : If youâre financially comfortable enough to risk losing a few thousand dollars, and donât mind potentially fighting for your plates so you can drive your new car, the selection of cars might appeal to you.
But if you value transparency, honesty, your time not being taken for a joke, and genuine customer service, I almost beg you to look elsewhere. You have rights.â

ââď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ 5-Star Review for Pedro at 21st Century Auto Group
I had an amazing experience with Pedro at 21st Century Auto Group. He is extremely nice, welcoming, and genuinely focused on helping his customers. One thing I really appreciated was how comfortable he made the processâhe encourages you to get into the car, explore it, and really get a feel for it without any pressure at all.
Pedro took the time to explain every detail clearly and patiently, making sure I understood all my options. His honesty, professionalism, and friendly personality made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
If youâre looking for someone who goes above and beyond, I highly recommend asking for Pedro. He truly made the car-buying experience exceptional!â

âUPDATE 10/9/2025. It has been 38 days since I bought my car and I still have no. License plates. For 8 days I have not been legally able to drive the car. It has not been driven. 8 days and counting. âŚ.
UPDATE 10/1/2025. I tried calling several times, no answer and everyoneâs voice mailboxes are full. They must see my number and ignore it. When I did talk to them a few days ago, I was very polite, so not sure why they donât answer. So now I cannot drive my new car legally. Imagine that. âŚâŚ
UPDATE. 9/30/2025
Today my temporary registration expires and I have no plates. I have called many times. I have emailed them through their website, every time I do that I get bombarded with phone calls emails and texts from âCesarâ trying to sell me another car. He says he will have someone call me and no one does. He didnât read my email either or he would have known why I was contacting them. ALL OF THEIR VOICEMAIL INBOXES ARE FULL. So, you cannot leave anyone a polite message.
This is clearly incompetence. Or they simply do not care about their customers once the car leaves the lot. So, tomorrow I canât drive my new car legally. Thanks.
Also, the very nice woman who works in the finance office promised me that I would receive details on the VSC that she sold us for 4K. Do I even really have it? I donât know. Because I was given zero details. What is my account number? Who is it with? Did I just get scammed? I do not know. Try to reach them and you get nowhere. Or youâll get Cesar trying to sell you another car.
What am I supposed to rent a car now?
DAN THE MAN!! great quick car buying experience. He was very polite and well knowledgeable. Answered all of our questions and concerns. We highly recommend 21st Century Auto Group. We are very excited with our new 2023 Tesla model Yâ

âThis is an update on my experience at 21 Auto Group after I purchase my vehicle. This is a âstraight to the pointâ review.
Promised repairs were delayed and parts werenât ordered promptly. Itâs been a month with no registrationâthe temporary tag expiredâand multiple inquiries about sending the vehicle info to the DMV have gone unanswered or havenât taken place on time. As of today 8 October 2025 I have not received my registration. I cannot recommend shopping here.â

âJulian was absolutely amazing to work with! He made the whole car-buying process simple and stress-free. He listened to what I was looking for, answered every question with patience, and never once made me feel pressured. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping his customers find the right fit, not just making a sale. I left feeling confident and happy with my purchase thanks to him. If youâre shopping here, definitely ask for Julian you wonât regret it!â
