My name is Stanley and to say I received great service is a understatement. The service advisor Anthony and the service technician Nick went above and beyond to get me back on the road. Nick stayed late a few days just to get me back running so I could run my business. Also the sales manager was instrumental in making things work. I refer everyone to Shakopee Chey!!!

I had a horrible experience with another mechanic shop and then I bought it in to Shakopee Chevrolet and Anthony in the service department really helped make things right for me. If it wasn’t for Anthony I don’t know how I would have figured things out. He spoke to the previous mechanic shop and was the go between with my extended warranty company and because of that I was able to get everything properly fixed. I’m grateful for the hard work and effort that was put in to my situation and I would refer Shakopee Chevrolet 10 out of 10 times!!

My wife called this location to get a new key fob for her vehicle. She was quoted at about ~$250, which she then set an appointment for. At the end of this appointment, the final price was $455.93, almost double what was quoted. Their response was "you must have spoken with someone from the Parts department", who you think would explain that ~$250 would be the cost of the part alone, not including labor. My wife is no car expert and we feel deceived through this experience. If you're looking to have a fix properly explained, including cost before service is performed, consider going elsewhere.

One of the Most Distressing and Disappointing Experiences of My Life! I never imagined I would feel the need to write something like this, but my experience with Shakopee Chevrolet has been so upsetting that I feel a responsibility to warn others. From the beginning, I tried to be clear, cautious, and transparent. My sales representative, David Jones, sold me a 2024 Cadillac SUV. Before purchasing, I explicitly stated that I could not and did not want a vehicle that required premium gas. David reassured me multiple times that the vehicle only needed regular unleaded. That assurance turned out to be completely untrue. Within days of owning the vehicle, I noticed squeaky brakes. I brought it back, trusting the dealership to help, only to be told there was nothing they could do. I even paid out of pocket for a diagnostic at a brake repair shop, desperate for answers, and was told the same thing. When I returned again, a service representative attempted to “burn the brakes,” which did absolutely nothing. During one visit, while I was calmly speaking with a service representative named Collin, a woman suddenly approached me and aggressively stated, “We don’t do refunds.” I had never asked for a refund. When I requested she introduce herself, she identified herself as Kristine, the parts manager and the owner’s daughter. Her tone was hostile, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. It was humiliating and unnecessary. David later apologized for her behavior, but the damage was already done. David then assured me he would help me get out of the vehicle. The following week, he sold me a 2022 vehicle with only 14,000 miles. During the test drive, there was a strange, concerning odor coming from the vents. David told me the previous owner was a friend who had passed away, it had sat for a while and claimed the smell would go away with use. I trusted him. Later, I discovered the vehicle had two recalls and had already had the engine replaced at just 10,000 miles, information that was never clearly disclosed to me. After only four payments, the vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive and has been in the shop since November 17, 2025. It has now gone through five repair attempts with no resolution. To make matters worse, David failed to inform me that the factory warranty would expire just two months after purchase. When I reached out for help, he refused to take responsibility. I escalated the issue to the owner, George McGuire, hoping for understanding or compassion. Instead, he made it clear he felt no obligation to help me in any way and told me plainly that this was my problem, not his. This situation has put my family and me at real risk. We were exposed to toxic fumes coming through the vents, and the unresolved recalls posed serious fire and safety hazards. Financially, this has been devastating. I have continued paying the car note, insurance, and deposit while also paying for rentals and Ubers. I went Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s without my vehicle, and it is still sitting in the shop. This entire experience has been a nightmare and an emotional and financial strain on my family. I have been patient, respectful, and cooperative throughout, even when I felt myself reaching a breaking point. I truly believe I was sold an unsafe vehicle, and once the paperwork was signed, Shakopee Chevrolet showed absolutely no concern for my safety, my family, or my well-being. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. The behavior I encountered was rude, dismissive, and felt deeply predatory. Please, buyer beware.

NOTE: This review has received many progressively more aggressive and accusatory replies from Shakopee Chevrolet. Please read thoroughly. Drivers camp in the left lane and then if you try to pass, all of a sudden gun it to 90 to prevent you from passing. Edit: After the reply from the dealership which owns this vehicle and is responsible for the employee driving the vehicle dismissing the issue, as well as the trustworthiness and safety of it's employees when acting in an official capacity for Shakopee Chevrolet, I will be leaving this review up. Their employees represent their brand and if the employees will behave like this, and the management will dismiss problems like this one raised here, then it accurately reflects their views and actions as a company for all potential customers to see and help base their decision if they want to work with the company. 2nd Edit: As Shakopee Chevorlet has already edited their reply to me, I will include what I still have access to from my email: "Hi Scott, It looks like this review may have been posted to our dealership profile by mistake, as it seems to refer to a highway driving experience. Because reviews play an important role in how peop..." They have since edited their reply to the following which may or may not have changed at your time of reading: "Scott, Thanks for sending the pictures. I reviewed them and looked at our tracking of the truck. The truck has never gone 90 mph, so I can only assume you are exagerrating your claim. I would also recommend to keep you phone out of your hand while you are driving. It is illegal in the state of MN which I am sure you are aware of as you seem to love to critique everyone! Have a great day! " If this doesn't speak volumes about their level of pettiness, I don't know what does. As the photos CLEARLY show, I was in the passenger seat of our vehicle since you can see the back of the drivers headrest while looking out the drivers side rear window. If your driver didn't wasn't doing 90, then what speed were they doing? Was it a consistent and safe speed, or did you happen to note the LARGE acceleration going down 169? Were they actively passing while in the left lane per MN state law? If they were, then the opportunity to pass them would not have been there. The proper reply for a public facing situation like this is to say, "Oh no! I'm sorry that happened to you, We'll look into it and take proper action", even if that means doing nothing at all just to save face. But you have instead taken time out of your day to not only dismiss this safety and brand image problem, but then edit your response to accuse the person reporting it of breaking the law and try to shame them? I hope someone reads this and thinks twice about supporting your company if you're going to shift the blame and responsibility away from yourself so easily.
