“I wanted to provide feedback regarding my recent experience at Poynter Chevrolet. While traveling from Michigan to New Albany, Indiana, to be with my daughter for the birth of her first child, I encountered a road hazard that caused a flat tire on my 2024 Equinox EV's front passenger wheel. Through OnStar, we arranged towing services and transportation to your dealership for my family. I worked with Piet Thomasma in your service department regarding the tire replacement. Mr. Thomasma proactively searched for a matching tire before the vehicle arrived and, despite no exact matches being available locally, located one an hour away. He arranged to have the tire retrieved and planned to complete the repair before closing that day. Unfortunately, upon removing the tire, we discovered the rim had sustained damage beyond repair that was not initially visible. Mr. Thomasma immediately arranged a loaner vehicle, enabling us to reach the hospital where my daughter was delivering. The following morning, he informed me that while the required rim was not available locally, he had located one 2.5 hours away and prioritized obtaining it to complete the repair that same day. The service I received at your dealership, particularly from Mr. Thomasma, exceeded all reasonable expectations. Despite likely being a one-time customer due to geographic distance, I was treated with the same care and attention you would provide a regular customer. Your team demonstrated exceptional commitment to customer service and made me feel genuinely valued. Because of your outstanding efforts, my family was able to be present for this significant milestone. Please accept our sincere gratitude for your dedication to providing world-class service that went well above and beyond our expectations.”

“Zero Accountability – Only Interested in the Sale I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership on July 30, 2025, unaware that just two weeks earlier (July 16) they had a remanufactured transmission installed. That critical repair was never disclosed—information that would have stopped me from buying. Makes sense why they didn't tell me anything now. I returned the vehicle asking for answers to the mechanical issue I weas experiencing just a few days after the purchase and now the vehicle has been back for a total of 3 times for the same mechanical issue, yet the dealership keeps claiming “it drives perfectly fine.” That is flat-out false. The problem is still there and very noticeable when driving it. Communication is basically nonexistent as I have emailed multiple employees in the same email chain and no on replies. I have repeatedly requested written documentation of what was inspected and repaired—still nothing. Their service department cannot fix the issue, and management refuses to take real responsibility even going as far as ignoring my repeated requests for help solving the issue. This dealership clearly prioritizes sales over customers. Selling a less-than-adequate family vehicle and then dodging accountability is unacceptable. Avoid this dealership if you expect honesty or service after the sale.”

“Trent knocked it out of the park! He made the car-buying process simple and stress-free. I told him what I was looking for, and he had several cars lined up and ready to test drive one after the other. He gave me the freedom to explore each car on my own while still providing helpful information to guide my decision. Trent even had a minor cosmetic issue fixed, filled the gas tank, and had the car washed before I left the dealership. Bryan made the financial side just as easy. He helped me find the best options to fit my needs without overselling or cutting corners. I love my new car and would definitely return to work with Trent and Bryan in the future.”

“Poynter was really great to deal with. It’s rare for a dealer to have such a down-to-earth employees and atmosphere (very local feeling). Buying here was a breeze and quick without the typical haggle and buzzword salesman talk. The car that we were interested in was actually in the middle of a deal with another customer. A couple of weeks later, they called me to let me know that it had fallen through, so that we could have first dibs. Very appreciated! Also, they were unable to locate our second key at purchase but mailed it to us about a month later when finally found! How’s that for not forgetting your customers, excellent!”
