(Feb26) Had a great experience helping my mother sell her car to Carmax in Schaumburg. We have been putting this off because my mother has mobility issues, and the manager and everyone involved made this process so much easier than we imagined. Thanks to everyone in the business office for all of your help and kindness.

I purchased a car on January 30th at CarMax Schaumburg, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. From navigating the website, to scheduling a test drive, to getting pre‑qualified, everything was smooth and easy. Rick Pokorny was my sales representative, and he was amazing to work with. He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and never pushy. Rick truly made the experience enjoyable, and I gave him all 5’s on my survey without hesitation. Rich in Finance was also great—helpful, personable, and very efficient throughout the process. Most importantly, my son absolutely loves the car, and we loved the experience just as much. Great work, gentlemen!

I had a very good experience at CarMax in Schaumburg. Ethan was the sales associate I worked with, and he helped me narrow down my car options. There was a minor issue with my car, and he was able to get it fixed while keeping my best interests as a consumer in mind. I was contacted frequently with updates to ensure the car would be repaired and to let me know when it was ready for pickup. It is always great to work with someone who allows informed consumers like myself to make their own choices about a car, while also assisting along the way to make sure everything goes smoothly during the purchase process. I also appreciated the 24-hour test drive, which allowed me to take the car to a reputable mechanic to have it checked before buying. This helped me make an informed decision about what I needed in a car. The managers, Nasir and Stefani, oversaw the transaction, and it is reassuring to have managers involved who know how to handle business and support customers making a major purchase like a car. The employees at the business office don't care about the customer. I had new license plates that were four months old and new bolts. The employee who removes the plates is incompetent and gets upset with the plates. I was hoping I'd get a different employee or I could remove them myself. But they said professionals would remove them themselves. They simply ruined my plates, just like the previous client. The plates cost money, and now it's impossible to put them on a new car. The office said the employee was an idiot, nothing more. I definitely won't buy a new car from Car Max from now on.

I was very down by Carmax and they're phone team.I confirmed my income prior to coming into the store as a well as all documents to get in and out quickly, while spending 40 minutes on the phone the operator placed me on hold to confirm everything was good and was told 1000 down was confirmed. I drove 2 hours to complete the purchase, my wife and I arrived at 755 just before our appointment at 8pm and we were asked to wait for an available salesperson. We looked around for a bit unattended. Then waited in the waiting area over 45 minutes until Awa a salesperson who noticed us waiting. She mentioned they close soon and if we were helped yet. She was great went out of her way to assist us until we were told funding was closed and they could not confirm our prior income confirmation, there were no notes saved and we had to resubmit our application. We ended up having to put 1250 down which was not the plan but we'd come so far we did not want to return and make another 4 hour drive to return. It was very disappointing this really changed my opinion of making the process easy. The sales person was the best part of the experience She should be commended for making the extra effort to help us. The manager there while he helped he was let down by the call center. The communication from the phone line call center to the store really needs to be reevaluated. Contact on this would greatly be appreciated, I cant recommend going back at all if that is the experience. Anyone calling in should be prepared to redo all information once in the store, including re-running credit and bringing more money down.
