Super good looking building from the outside, incredibly modern and luxurious on the inside. Fantastic amenities. Their staff couldn’t be friendlier, top to bottom; You are greeted with a courteous welcome and offered help right away. Their shop techs are top-notch; Knowledgeable and skillful. But most importantly, to me, was the buying experience with Peter. He could not have been friendlier throughout the whole process, before and after purchase. Always willing to answer any and all of my questions. His relaxed demeanor made me and my wife feel confident that he had our best interest in mind, and made it clear his goal was nothing more than making sure we were going to be satisfied and happy with our final decision, which needless to say, we were. “I swore I’d never walk into a dealership again (looking at you, Luther), I am approaching retirement and have never once had a good local experience in this regard. My remote kid sent me in to negotiate a used car he found (can’t say no to my kid, right?), I ended up buying a second car for my wife and I. The second car was absolutely NOT part of the plan. The reason for this outcome by far is a fun sales guy named Peter Hagstrom, I cannot tell you enough good things about him. He is trustable and honest, a straight shooter, no bs except for fun stories and conversation. I said absolutely positively never again, he sold me two cars, go figure. Service is a story for another time, they could not start my car that died in the parking lot (loose cable, just needed a charger/jump), a bit of frustration and concern there. This noted, Christy was a joy, she totally gets it and tried her best! But I digress, this review is all about my man Peter, wow, where’d they get this guy? Broke the stereotypical car sales guy mold for darn sure, he is 100% legit. Odd, I know. I’d go back to buy another car from Peter in a heartbeat, in fact we stay in touch to this day, months after the sale. He’s now my car sales guy, I needed one of those, and never expected to find one here.”

“My wife and I just picked up a new Tucson from the Buerkle Hyundai dealership and the entire process from beginning to end was easy, straightforward and enjoyable. We had test driven a Tucson in another state already, so we knew what we wanted, but after checking online dealership listings in Minnesota we found the right package, right color and right price at Buerkle. We live in Duluth, a couple of hours away, so I called the sales office and was put through to Garrett W. He was enjoyable, responsive, and listened to what we wanted from the very start. With no hassle, no hesitation, and no diversions, he not only gave me a straightforward price but suggested that we finance the minimum amount and pay the rest in cash in order to take full advantage of a Hyundai rebate and dealer discount. Through various issues (bad winter storm, registering out of state, setting up financing), Garrett always responded right away by text, phone and email. We always felt that we were well informed and kept in the loop, with no second guessing. He even forwarded a draft copy of the financing terms for us to review, provided by the finance manager Jacob N. They kept the car for us without any issues, and after a slight delay from an early winter storm up north, we just took delivery. Garrett was ready to meet us when we arrived, quickly went through all the final steps, and handed us over to Jacob, who very seamlessly and quickly took us through all the final paperwork and financing. It was literally as good an experience as we could have hoped, and a real breeze. And this was on Black Friday!!! Finally, despite being VERY busy with a lot of other customers, Garrett took plenty of time to walk us through all the features of the new vehicle and never showed any sign of distraction from helping us even when we knew he had at least two other customers at the dealership. They are both excellent people to work with — if you are looking for a new Hyundai, ask for Garrett and he will take good care of you. We cannot say enough positive about Garrett and the Buerkle experience — that’s where we will head for our next car. And side note, the Tucson is hands down a better car and better value than Toyota or Honda (and we’ve owned these cars before).”
