I will start with our salesman Shawn Hanrahan… he was very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. He went above and beyond to get us into the car of our dreams. He even went out of his way to drive to Utica from Rome to pick us up to make sure we could get there. He was always quick to respond to any questions we had via text or call. Over all it was a perfect car buying experience.

We were contacted by a representative named Heather after applying for financing through the dealership’s website. We were told my boyfriend was “pre-approved” and that all we needed to do was come in, sign paperwork, and select a vehicle, with the possibility of little to no money down. Because of our location, getting to the dealership required planning, but we were repeatedly contacted and encouraged to come in. When we arrived at the Rome location and explained that we had already been pre-approved, the salesperson told us they needed to run the credit again. After re-running the application, we were informed that my boyfriend was not approved. We then tried again with me as a co-signer and were denied again. When we asked why we were previously told we were pre-approved, we were told that Heather was not associated directly with the dealership and that they could not explain why we were given that information. I want to add, that the employees in the dealership were in no way whatsoever the issue. The employee we worked with while there was respectful and nice, and we completely understand that the employee had no part in what Heather had told us. The overall experience was frustrating and misleading. Had it been clearly explained that the “pre-approval” was not a real lender approval, we would have made a different decision about traveling 3 hours to the dealership and having multiple credit checks run. I understand that we could have done some more research on our end on terms of “pre-approval”, but when being contacted repeatedly about making a trip down, and being given false assurances about walking away with a vehicle, it makes it seem like it’s worth the travel. When in reality it was not. I would highly recommend clearer communication and transparency for future customers.

After destroying my previous new car with not much hope for a used care let alone a new one. James mitsubishi was painless quick and realistic. Joey was exceptionally organized and efficient to get everything done. Only a few hours and I was on the road. Very happy I made the stop in.

Our Sales agent Dave was a great guy. However, the rep that sits next to him (younger guy) was closing a deal with another client and was not professional in the slightest. Using foul language, lack of awareness and just plain unprofessional. We were literally sitting 8-10 feet away from you and you think we can’t hear that crap? Clean it up. Again, Dave was great but had I dealt with the other “gentleman” James Mitsu would’ve lost a $41,000 sale.

We went in there to look around after we had a pre approval offer from our bank. We worked with Richard and he was awesome. He was not super pushy. He laid it all out and gave us the best deal that we could get. The transparency that he gave us is what ultimately pushed us to end up buying a vehicle.
