“Prices too high, non negotiable. Paid too much there for a car 2yrs ago, wanted to upgrade. They only offered 1/2 of what we paid them for it. No negotiating the trade in order to help with the new purchase at all... We had only put 18k miles on it with no damage. It had just 38k miles on it. Same car on their site w 60k miles and a year older was priced at twice what they offered us... Crazy low ball offer, especially if we were gonna make another purchase there, and use there high rate financing. We got a better vehicle at a better rate elsewhere. I said it before, but no more carmax for us”

“I wouldn't normally write a review for a car dealership (unless it was really bad!) but my purchase at CarMax in Raleigh was one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. Zach and Skyler were incredible people to work with, and I would go back to them specifically in the future if I have the opportunity. The CarMax process is shockingly easy, and I went from thinking "this is too easy" to "this is just how it should be" and will have a hard time shopping anywhere else. :) Thanks Zach and Skyler!”

“Was about to buy a car this afternoon at Carmax after test driving it the other day. Had my appointment scheduled with them to gladly hand over my money in exchange for a car they claimed was accident free. After I paid to run a carfax on the vehicle (they use auto check by experian) I learned that this car had, in fact, been in an accident and had been towed away. When I noted this to the store manager they claimed that they could still price and sell the car without accidents because of the auto check service they use doesn’t show that, though he doesn’t t dispute the fact that it’s been in an accident. Moral of the story is (1) CarMax is just like every other used car dealership and (2) always run your own carfax report before making a purchase.”

“Love that no one pressured us the first time we came just to look at different SUV options. Came back when we had narrowed it down to a few different models. We were lucky enough to have Dan Saylor as our salesperson. When I decided (at the last minute) that there was a particular make, model & year I wanted he found it & had it shipped to this location. Happy to say we are now the proud owners of a practically brand new SUV!! Thanks, Dan. You made our car purchase smooth & pain free as possible.
