“I wouldn’t recommend buying a car from here. I went with confidence and trust for them to help me get my first car and instead I got a headache. I purchased a Ford Focus 2017 back in March 11 2023. Not even 3 months with the care the transmission broke. I had to pay 2k to get it fixed then 900 for the wheel hands and 500 for new tires apparently the tires all had holes that were just patched up. Then paid 1,500 for the engine to be fixed because it fell down due to the latches were just being held by a black tape wrapped around multiple time. When I tried calling to see if the warranty covered they told me it was only for 90-days. Then I try to trade in the car and it was worth only $200. Then there goes another 500 on gas tank repair. I have honestly put more repair money in the car than paying it off. The customer service isn’t good cause no one will help find a resolution to the issues.”

“I bought my Mini Cooper from Carmax in Pharr in August. It’s my dream car and they happened to have it. I decided I’d buy it on the spot. I had the car shipped from Houston and they called to tell me it was in and ready for me to test drive. I knew I wanted that car and I didn’t have to test drive it. I let them know I wanted to buy the car outright with no financing. They expressed me through and the whole process took less then 30 min. I drove off with it that day. I did have to take it in for minor things and I wanted to take advantage of their wonderful 90 day warranty. They were great and took care of my car. Ad a used car I knew any of the cars could have some things to take care of and they did. They are great and they treated me and my car with respect and grace. If I ever have to buy a car again, I will go with them for sure. When my car needs service after 90 days, I will go with them. Great people from beginning to the end. I’d like to thank Monica, one of their floor staff helping Braulio with the sale and the paperwork. She helped me every time I went in. She even advised me that I could ask for an uber or Lyft back to brownsville when I had my car fixed. Thanks Monica?”

“I was trying to find a good reliable vehicle but I couldn’t find one anywhere else, but at CarMax, Adonis had helped me out generously and he was really knowledgeable and friendly the whole time he was walking me through the process to purchase the right vehicle in my budget. “What an incredible experience! First I want to start off by saying that what started off as a fiasco caused by a store in California was dealt with professionally & with the utmost attention to detail. From Chris, AJ, Robert, JP, Adonis & the support staff they had all hands on deck!
We transferred a gorgeous 2019 GLS63 AMG with 31,069 miles (this will matter later) from California & paid the transfer fee to have it shipped to us here in Pharr for Valentines Day.
What followed was an absolute masterclass on how to turn a bad situation around & ensure the customer is a priority.
I recieved an update when the car arrived, however, I was informed there was an issue with the title. The mileage reported on title paperwork stated the vehicle had 37,069 miles, but the SUV arrived with only 31,069 miles on the odometer.
I was quickly updated & offered a full refund of the transfer fee without requesting it. Carmax will not sell a vehicle with even a percieved title issue & this clerical error which was caused in California was now requiring resolution by our Pharr Carmax team.
I am proud to say that Carmax of Pharr corrected the title issues at no cost to me, reassuring me they would keep me in the loop & they absolutely delivered! After 2.5 months of working through road blocks I got to know the team pretty well & the messaging was always effective, honest, & transparent.
Once the issue was finally resolved we came in to make our purchase & the Carmax team again went above/beyond to welcome us & apologized for the situation even though they were not the cause of any issues but instead the solution!
They made the buying process super simple & even agreed to a few changes to the vehicle which I will not disclose for privacy reasons.
Its no wonder Carmax is beating the brakes off the competition!! The service, selection, satisfaction & safety (via their carmax warranty) truly had us feeling the "S" class top tier quality even before we got into the Mercedes GLS63 AMG.
Carmax just gets it! 💯 This is what car buying should be & I think you deserve to experience the difference yourself! Stop jumping through hoops & bending over backwards for dealerships who don't care about you. Come experience the Carmax difference in Pharr & see what its like to have a dedicated team fighting for YOU! 💯
