“I had a very disappointing experience with a recall (software update) at Tropical Ford. I dropped off my vehicle in the morning, and they informed me that the update would take a few hours. However, it took them a whole 24 hours to inform me that my battery was faulty for the software update, they didn’t even notify me that it would not be ready the same day, if they would’ve called me and notify that would’ve been different. The very next day, once I received the vehicle I took the old battery to another location to check the life on the battery, and it was fine. I then asked Tropical Ford if they could retest the old battery to ensure its condition, but they provided every excuse to avoid doing so. As the local Ford dealer near me for the past 15 years, I will never do business with them again and will recommend all friends and family to go somewhere else.
