“Avoid this dealership — go to Lakeland VW instead! I’m extremely disappointed with how this dealer handled a serious safety issue on my 2021 Tiguan. About two years ago, they took care of a recall involving the rear spoiler potentially detaching on its own. They sent my car to their chosen body shop (Precision Auto Body on Hoffner Ave) to “fix” it. Last week, I discovered the spoiler had cleanly separated from the glue and was just resting on my rear window. This clearly shows the repair was not done properly. A spoiler does not simply detach unless the installation was faulty. When I returned to the dealership to address it, I was told they couldn’t help because the repair is out of warranty. I explained that this wasn’t normal wear and tear — it was an improper installation on a safety recall. If the spoiler had flown off while I was driving on the highway, it could have caused an accident. And ironically, if I had waited for it to fall off on its own (the exact reason the recall exists), they would be required to fix it free of charge. To be clear, the service advisor, Justin, was great and understood the situation, but he doesn’t have the authority to approve the repair. The decision falls on management and the warranty manager, who seem more focused on saving money than taking responsibility for an issue caused by the body shop they chose. This dealership failed to stand behind their work and failed to prioritize customer safety. I strongly recommend going to Lakeland VW instead.”
