“AWFUL – Sold me an unsafe vehicle, the engine blew after 5k miles. refuses to make it right. CarMax sold me a $40k car with 9-year-old front tires that were completely bald on the inside edge, cracked tire rods, and a misalignment. a clear safety hazard their “125 point inspection” should have caught. UPDATE: the car engine literally blew up on highway after 5k miles of driving. Needs a full $20k engine. When I contacted them with photos, they said the tires passed at time of sale. I’ve only driven 4,000 miles. In addition to this, the door panels were both loose, the transmission oil was filthy, and The battery literally died during my test drive. Both the local store and corporate customer care refused to help with the tires which are an obvious safety issue Don’t trust their inspection process, it’s clearly a joke.”
