“2014 toyota Venza LE V6, it's been a week now, has a smooth ride, still checking it out with hopes for long time reliability. My sales guy, the in the know guy was Brian Kelley, such a charm, pure patience while I chose, Hey Carmax, you already knew he's keeper. Overall, a good car shopping experience.”

“I worked with Brandon at Tinley Park and Diego in Oak Lawn. Both worked together to make sure I got the car I wanted. I liked that I wasn't pressured to buy a car. Everything was explained and easy. My car was coming from a nearby city and took awhile to come in but once it came in they made sure I received it quickly. My experience was very positive.”

“The company keeps its promises, with simple and clear procedures. The service staff are professional, conscientious and responsible, and they are patient and friendly to customers. What moved me the most was that they sent me home for free. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your service.”

“One should do one's research if selling a vehicle at CarMax. We received 3 appraisals $1400 a part and inconclusive reasoning for the devaluing of the extremely clean/ tremendously low mileage vehicle. As caregiver for an elderly couple I did not believe that they were afforded the best that could have been offered from CarMax. Honestly staff was fairly personable & we did have a choice not to accept their offer. Yet the famed CarMax reputation, IMO, was not fully realized...particularly to seniors at this stage of their lives.”

“Paid $2000 to get my car transferred on May 30th. It came within about 2 weeks I was told the car was there so I returned my rental. Come to find out the car wasnt ready. Made a 2nd appointment car still wasnt ready. 3rd times the charm... not. Apparently carmax forgot to order my title with the car. Then finally they get the title however they made a mistake filling out the title so I was told to wait longer. The good thing is they did give me my $2000 back. However by this time it was over a month now. I work for IL Secretary of state so I made a call and told carmax they were just missing a signature this took weeks for them to do for whatever reason. Now it's 2 months no car im on bus, train, ubers. I spoke with corporate so they could get me an advocate. They spoke with someone in business department at oak lawn carmax then I called oak lawn carmax n was told it would be another 4-6 weeks before they can give me the car.
On may 30th I was told I was approved for my loan I would have a car note of only $380 but by the time I GOT SECRETARY OF STATE TO ISSUE THE TITLE (carmax couldn't get the title) 2 months later after paying the the $2000 to get transferred they had to run my credit again because the first offer expired then my car note shot up to $480 with $2000 down not including auto insurance of course. Finally after 2 months I was able to drive my car out. After picking it up I notice the car was dirty inside no windshield wiper fluid the oil is less than %50 and THEY NEVER GAVE ME THE KEY PASSCODE for the driver door on top of ALL of this the brakes are already making noises ive only the card for less than a week. Do they not clean and inspect the cars .? Now I have to pay more money to get it. Im honestly thinking of getting a lawyer all the BS stress money I've paid for ubers transportation now I have to pay to get the pass code? This is sad because I've had such a great experience with my previous car from carmax but that was a different location. This will definitely be my first and last time with this location.”
