“Another awesome experience with Carmax!! I've purchased a total of 3 cars, sold 3 cars to CarMax and it's a wonderful seamless experience. This time I found exactly what I wanted all by myself online. Found the vehicle at another location and had it transferred. They reserved my car exclusively me, didn't have to worry about my car being sold from under me. I secured my financing and didn't have to spend hours on end with the process. Found what I wanted. Had it delivered. Test drove it and walked away extremely satisfied!!”

“The car buying experience was easy. The Carmax representative was helpful and knowledgeable. I was impressed by the overall condition of the car we purchased and its low miles. However, there was a potentially very serious mechanical issues with the car that developed on my drive home. I took the car to my personal mechanic the next morning. Within a few minutes of looking the car over, the mechanic notified my that the bolt holding the lower control arm was loose. The front wheel was rocking back and forth independant of the steering. The mechanic said it would have eventually resulted in the front wheel assembly to separate and total loss of control. This was concerning especially since this car was for my 16-yo daughter. I understand these things can happen on a used car, however not when Carmax claims/promotes their "125 point" inspection. A loose wheel should have been detected if that inspection was actually performed. Now that the car has been repaired it is great and I'm happy with it, but this experience is why I rated them 4-stars instead of 5.”

“CarMax hands down offers one of the best car‑buying experiences available. Their inventory is massive, and their website makes it incredibly easy to filter by manufacturer, model, price, and features. I especially appreciate that their selection isn’t limited to a single location—you can browse vehicles from across the entire country. Once I found the vehicle I wanted, having it shipped to my local CarMax without any commitment to purchase created a much more relaxed buying environment. CarMax kept me updated at every step of the shipping process, and once the car arrived, I had a full week to come in, look it over, and take it for a test drive. The sales staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. From walking in the door to completing the test drive and driving off the lot in my new vehicle, the entire process took less than an hour and a half. That efficiency gave me the rest of the day to enjoy my new car. Overall, CarMax delivered a smooth, transparent, and stress‑free experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a straightforward way to buy a car.”

“I purchased my vehicle on August 19th, 2025. Within 24 hrs of having the vehicle, it broke down right outside of my apartment complex gate. Reached out to carmax, took 5 hours for a tow to finally arrive. I still don’t have my vehicle. We’re approaching 30 days. I’ve been given the run around. The service center had my vehicle for 2 weeks before they had it towed to RBM. I feel as if their technician didn’t know what he was doing and had to fix his problem before taking it to RBM. I’ve been saying from day one that it should’ve been taken there. The only positive thing I can say is that I was given a loaner. Horrible car purchase experience. You can hardly get in contact with anyone when you call. When they finally answer the phone, your car max service center representative isn’t available. I’m having to pay insurance and a car payment for a car that I don’t even have. It feels surreal almost. Did I purchase a car? They don’t care. It’s all about making a sale. Their vehicles should definitely have diagnostics and everything checked before being purchased. This is so wrong. My car is currently at RBM. Their claims are that it was given a diagnostics and the car would be ready by last Friday. It is now Monday and still no car. I’m over it. Don’t purchase a vehicle from here. I see a future of constant repairs ** Update: Received my car on September 23rd, broke down yesterday October 7th, 2025 at my place of business. I purchased this car almost 2 months ago and have only driven it for 2 weeks. If I could go back, I wouldn’t even look their way. This is a nightmare”

“I can’t say enough good things about Tim Merk! After having a really negative experience at a different dealership, I was nervous about going to look at cars again.
