“I purchased a 2021 Lexus ES250 AWD on March, 2025. Within a week, I began experiencing multiple issues.
I reported vibrations from the front wheels, which were diagnosed as internal wheel-bearing failure. After replacement, the issue was resolved.
I requested spark-plug replacement, as they should have been changed before the sale according to the 60,000-mile maintenance schedule.
Throughout March and April, I made three separate visits to South County Lexus because the driver’s seat would not return to its programmed position. A case was opened with Lexus engineering. By June 23, it was determined that the programmed position was stopping the seat to avoid contact with rear passengers’ legs—an explanation that took months to identify.
On June, I discovered the engine oil level was above the maximum mark. The dealership confirmed the issue and drained the excess oil. During this visit, I also questioned a high-pitched transmission noise (which still occurs intermittently after 15,000 miles) and water inside the right headlight after the first wash. I was told the headlight issue was not covered under warranty and that replacing would cost $4,071.70.
Technicians also found leaking ball joints, which were replaced. However, the lost oil was not replenished in the transmission, raising concerns about future wear.
In the following month, I noticed a clicking sound when pulling away from a stop, steering vibration, the vehicle pulling to the right, and uneven wear on the outer edges of the front tires. After inspection, issues were found on both sides, and the axle shaft, axle seal, nut, and hub were replaced.
Most recently, the brake fluid level has been dropping, accompanied by a high-pitched noise and noticeable vibration when applying the brakes. They recommended to replace it, but it's outside the warranty coverage.
Overall, my experience with this vehicle and the repeated service visits has been frustrating, time-consuming, and far below the reliability and service standards I expected from Lexus. For sure, this vehicle didn't undergo the required inspection before being made available to the market.”
