I recently bought a 2025 RAV4 Limited (Gas) from East Madison Toyota. I was searching for a particular color, trim, and package options in a RAV4 which makes it challenging, so I expanded my search to a 200-mile radius. Fortunately, they had exactly what I wanted in stock, so I contacted them right away, and Jason responded promptly with all the information I needed for the pricing. I had to wait a few weeks since it was still en route from Japan. Jason has kept me updated on its status, answered all my inquiries and requests. Additionally, they provided me with a competitive value for my trade-in that is based on the current market rate. On the day of delivery, the sales process went exceptionally well. Rudy from Finance assisted me as I went through all the paperwork and addressed all my inquiries. No pressure, no tricks, just pure professionalism. Big thanks to Jason, Rudy, and East Madison Toyota team for the fantastic experience.

The sales experience left A LOT to be desired during and even after. In summary I'd say poor communicating and lack of respect and honesty towards us as customers. Not unhappy with my toyota, but I'd suggest going to a different dealership. We were given inaccurate information about the automatic start app subscription cost. We even asked several follow up questions to be sure we understood terms and costs, but there are more costs to use it - we overheard similar info from a a different sales rep, so seems like may be lying to get the sale and not just someone being misinformed. My husband reached out about this issue and hasn't heard anything back from them. Additionally, after we agreed to buy they realized they didn't have a 2nd set of keys (despite it being included in description). No one told us this though! Then after all paperwork was done they said we would need to come back to pickup the second set of keys. We scheduled a time to return to pick them up and at pickup they said we would need to wait at least an hour for them to be programmed. There is a big difference between stopping to pick up a set of keys and taking an hour out of the day. Salesman open to zero negotiation and then expects buyer to make up for their shortfalls. Also the time from agreeing to buy to finally leave was several hours despite having financing already approved. With a baby in tow this was not ideal and they told us we were almost done several times - in retrospect, part of it may be due to them being unable to find the keys, but again, they were not upfront with that information. Seriously, the more I reflect the more I am just mad I bought from them because it supported their business and it feels slimey. When its time to upgrade our 2nd vehicle, toyota or not, I'll be avoiding here.

I had a very mixed experience with East Madison Toyota. At first everything seemed great. The service during the initial conversations about purchasing my new vehicle was excellent and the transaction itself went smoothly. Unfortunately the experience changed immediately after the sale was complete. Before I even accepted the vehicle I was charged an extremely high fee for a very simple request: removing two screws from the air dam. I would have expected transparency about this cost upfront. When I questioned the charge I was given a long explanation about how the sales and service departments do not share balance sheets, as if that justified the lack of disclosure. It felt dismissive and no one took ownership of the mistake. Six months later I started having issues with my remote start. I reached out to the two connections that I made and never received a response. After-purchase support seems to disappear once the deal is done, which is very disappointing. The service department across the street has always been great and I will continue going there. However, based on my experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from East Madison Toyota. Smart Motors Toyota may provide a more consistent customer experience. EDIT: Respectfully, the individual now commenting to take ownership is the same contact who has not responded to my emails.

Been with EMT since moving from West to East. Had been with Smart. Purchased two vehicles from ‘em too. Both Scion XBs. After the ECHO got totaled I figured we needed more legroom. When the first XB got totaled I thought I might try a RAV4, but discovered it to be too complicated of a switch. Got steered right back to an XB.[pun intended] They say those who don’t like to drive drive Toyota. I prolly would like to drive if I was a better driver. At no time has anyone at EMT made me feel badly about my poor driving skills. They just ask me the mileage and say “leave the keys in the car.” No technician has ever taken The MOMicmobile out for a joyride to my knowledge. I do chalk the tires just in case. That’s why I stay with ‘em. I got trust issues…especially when it comes to vehicles and well, pretty much everything and everyone else. ~MOMic

Amazing service. We love Cassandra and Rudy! They were so kind and patient and I love how Cassandra wasn't pushy at all! The whole experience was easy and pleasant. I would just note to maybe not plan delivery day on a Saturday, as they are much busier and takes a bit longer to complete the whole process.
