âCraig & Landreth sold my 18-year-old daughter a junk vehicle. It leaked oil and had multiple mechanical issues immediately.
When she tried to take it back to have it addressed, staff treated her poorly and attempted to charge her for repairs. She was in tears. This was her first carâpurchased with the entire $5,500 she had worked over a year to save during her last year of high school. She had no money left to fix a vehicle she had just bought.
We contacted the previous owners and learned Craig & Landreth had paid less than half of what they sold it to her forâand made no repairs before reselling it.
When I spoke with Joey, his response was essentially, âThatâs the risk of buying a used car.â I reached out multiple times seeking some form of remedy. No meaningful effort was made to do the right thing.
My family had purchased several vehicles from Craig & Landreth before and trusted them enough to send our daughter there for her first car. That was a mistake. They took advantage of a young, first-time buyer and sold her garbage.
That $5,500 was everything she had. Watching a company show zero conscience about taking it from an 18-year-old speaks volumes about their character. The experience was devastating for her and permanently soured what should have been an exciting milestone.
We eventually repaid our daughter ourselves because we felt awful for referring her to a business that treated her this way.
I reached out to Joey again recentlyâstill nothing.
Itâs especially disturbing to see him publicly brag about spending $3,000 on a cheesecake for charity while showing no remorse for ripping off an 18-year-old fresh out of high school for $5,500. I guess one makes for a better photo op than the other. đâ

âLet me start off by saying that this dealership is awesome!!! Communication was on point and they are amazing at setting expectations. When I say I've had some terrifying car buying experiences.... you might want to grab a chair and take a seat cause they were more than terrifying.
I had an 06 Ford Ranger that I took up there on 1/1/2026 reluctant to know what they would offer for my trade. Through a text message, that asked what I wanted. I told them 3k. They said that was more than doable. We had a pre qualification with a leander so we decided to head over there. We met with Grant and he told us that he would have us in and out in 2 hours. Of course they asked what I was looking for and if I was gunho on the Grand Cherokee I inquired about. I told them I didnt want a car, compact car, compact SUV, or anything that made me feel cramped. I told them I have a 6'4" son who is in thw military and needs leg room among a few other things. So, Grant told us to come outside and showed us this. While i was very hesitant at first (mainly because I have drove Nissans for work for the last 6 years) I asked if there waa anything else and he said this was it.
Grant went over all the features, owners, bells and whistles it had to offer so we took it for a drive. I may have scared my other half and him while drivingđ
but the Murano started growing on me. After we go back and I talked it over with my better half, we said yes to it. Grant already had the payment, gap and warranty set up to go and the deal was too good to pass on. When I asked what I got for my trade... they surpassed my expectations and gave my $4500. My exact words at that point was... "Bring me the paper work and lets sign!"
After the deal was signed, I went into google to check my timeline as to when we got there. As we were about to leave, I said to Grant "Remember how you said you have this done in 2 hours.... You beat your set expectation by 3 minutes. You got it done in 1 hr and 57 minutes."
I've never owned the top of the line vehicle in my entire life nor did i think it waa possibel tje way car prices are these days!!!
So to everyone eho helped us with our purchase, thank you for making this the most memorable car buying experience and the best New Years Day we've had in a very longtime!!
You have now gained a long time customer for years to come! When we tell our family, friends and coworkers about this, they even said that this was an awesome deal! Thank you for going above and beyond our expectations with this vehicle and most importantly.... Thank you for setting expectations, saying what you mean and mean what you say!!! Truly a hard thing to find in the car buying world!!â

âHad a terrific experience at Craig and Landreth Cars. Saw a 2024 Land Rover Discovery online and went to test drive and purchase. Damien Phillips was amazing! Made us feel comfortable (no pressure), was professional, articulate, and knew a lot about the vehicle. Left my BMWX5 behind and drove my new Discovery back to Bloomington, iN. Ask for Damien, you wonât regret it!â
