This is my third purchase from CarMax and each interaction I’ve had with the crew of people made me remember WHY my wife and I chose (I will likely continue to choose) their company. Here are some specifics: 1. ZACH HENRY knew what I needed better than I knew what I needed. He listened to my needs, price-point and life stages like a counseling guru and helped me find a Camry that was immaculate, and in the price range and miles that I was desiring. He went above and beyond, allowed me to test drive the car, take it to my mechanic, and then addressed every concern with a willing, joyful spirit. Simply put, Zach Henry is what Zac Efron is to Disney in High School Musical – the GOAT. 2. ANGELA (in the service department) was kind, considerate and flexible with my needs. She literally took care of each one of my concerns, including a simple “noise” I heard coming from the engine upon start up. She and her team “double clicked” on that bad boy to make sure there wasn’t a greater issue in the works. With it her team did so in a timely manner and LISTENED to my apprehensions. I felt heard by she and the rest of the employees in the service department. For them I am also thankful. She is the Hannah Montana turned Miley Cyrus in this interaction, in that every correspondence with her was a “party in the USA.” 3. Then there’s the finance department, WILL (I believe). He was a connoisseur of fine paperwork in that he made the monetary part of things quick and seamless. He was personal, yet professional and balanced fine Notaries, with care and grace. I’ve seen many grouchy people in his role, but not at CarMax. He understood the assignment; did so with precision, a mustache finely groomed and a heart of service for his customer. All this to say, in the words of my girl Kelly Clarkson, “some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this” kind of transactional care . All in all, our buying experience was once more a blessing, and I highly recommend CarMaX and the team therein. David McCright (the current President of CarMax) would be wise to consider the Louisville, KY location as an example for CarMax stores all around the beautiful United States of America. Your team and the way you do business is a gift. Thank you!

Lemon Alert: Sold from this location, NO AIRBAGS on Passanger Side When was 19 years old, I bought my first car, a blue 2010 ford escape from a carmax in TN. Great experience even considering the repairs I needed in the first 10 days, that car lasted me 10 years of driving across KY for school and everybirth! I called her 'Birthy Blue', as she never faild to get us to the birth not matter the snow, sleet, ice, or back roads. I was DEVESTADED, when Birthy Blue was deemed done. My car that made me feel soo safe was not the car I would have during my most vulnerable time as I was 5 months pregnant myself, but she did her job. So we trader her in. Now, Im 30 years old, back in my hometown of Louisville, KY, I returned to the brand I trusted at 19 years old. They did not take advantage of me as colleger freshman and got me what I needed, a car to get me through my 20's. But that was not the case this time. Carmax sold my and my unborn child a 2018 Ford Exploer. WITH NO AIR BAGS ON THE PASSANGER SIDE (FRONT OR BACK). They sold an airbagless car, that had me and my unborn child, now one year old FOR A WHOLE 16 MONTHS AT RISK. 16 MONTHS OF PAYMENTS, MAINTANINCE, AND IDK THE RISK PLACED ON ME AND MY CHILDS LIFE. They repossessed my car. Said they would by back the loan, and payments would stop while we look for a new car. LIES: Carmax is still charging for a car I do not have and then they do not want to give my money back. I have to call the bank and dispute the charge or the finance company that they CLAIMED they had already communicated/ bought the loan out. Then Donna, had the nerver to act like it is our fault we are still getting charged for a car they had to repossesse. They are unwilling to give any inconvienve amount off the next car. They are just putting my 16 payments toward the next car. This has been the worst and most disappointing experience I have every has with carmax. I sincerly thought this was the best place to buy a car. Now I am looking to potentially sue a company, in myhome town I love, because we cant get ethical conflict resolution. I will no longer allow the risk that gets disrepectfully, painfully, and forced on me or my child's life to go under the radar anymore. I had to bring the car BACK after I picked it up and nothing was fixed, tires were not aired up, and more lights we on than when I took it in originally. It wasnt untill I brought the car BACK for the SAME REPAIR request that they were even honest. I cannot say enough good things about Crissy! I was admittedly a bit overwhelmed in the beginning of this process, being this is my first time buying a car. Crissy walked me through it with ease and grace. When we were presented with some challenges (on my part) she assured me we’d figure it out and we sure did! She worked tirelessly to make sure I was happy and comfortable with my purchase and was helpful in answering any questions I had. We had the car I wanted shipped to this location and even throughout that process, she maintained great communication. If you are looking into buying a car here, I’d highly recommend asking of Crissy! You won’t be disappointed!

I just recently bought a Volkswagen Tiguan SE 2022. This is my third vehicle that I’ve purchased from this same Carmax store. The process was exceedingly easy, and the test drives were very relaxed and comfortable. So honestly, everything from the loan applications to the loan, explanations all the paperwork, the test drive and driving home with your new vehicle. The process is just very easy. I really wish I could remember my sales guy‘s name, but I’m in bed and don’t have his card near me, but he was awesome!
